Enterprise Protection Package
Enterprise Protection Package (EPP) is a package product that includes Collision Damage Waiver Theft Protection (CDW-TP) and Third-Party Liability (TPL) at a discounted price. EPP is not insurance. If you purchase EPP, the rental company contractually waives your responsibility for the cost of damage to, loss, or theft of the vehicle, and up to the policy limits for damages and injuries to third parties during the rental period in the U.S. Virgin Islands, subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate the coverage as described in the rental agreement.
Please be aware that most auto insurance policies from outside the U.S. Virgin Islands do not provide coverage in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Employees of the local rental car company are not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the customer’s personal auto insurance coverage. The renter should contact their insurance company prior to arrival with any questions regarding their specific coverage. Further, if the renter declines both CDW-TP and EPP, the renter is responsible for the full value of damage to, loss, or theft of the vehicle.
No deductible applies.
Exclusive Policy
Exclusive rates include the cost of the rental for time and distance and unlimited mileage. Protection products are available for purchase.
Refueling Service
We Refill - This option allows the renter to pay at the end of the rental for fuel used but not replaced. The price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices.
Prepay Fuel - This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused fuel.
Customer Refills - This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as received to avoid extra fuel charges.
Forms of Payment
All major credit cards, issued by either American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Diners Club, or Discover are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. In addition, if the renter has an online reservation, the name printed on the card presented by the renter must match the name for the online reservation. A deposit on the credit card plus the estimated cost of the rental, will be taken at the time of rental. The deposit amount is 500 USD plus the estimated cost of the rental for all car categories. The deposit amount may be used toward damages to the vehicle or late charges. Prepaid cards, cash, checks, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay are not accepted. Debit cards can be used at the end of the rental to pay for any outstanding balances, but the deposit must be secured with a credit card at the start of the rental.
Roadside Protection
Roadside Assistance (RSP) is available 24/7 at no extra cost if selected and paid for at the time of rental.
RSP includes towing (not related to an accident), flat tire service and towing (if no inflated spare is available), and lockout service (if keys are locked inside the vehicle). Additionally, jumpstarts and fuel delivery service for up to 5 gallons (or equivalent liters) of fuel are also provided. Tire damage beyond repair resulting from driver neglect is the responsibility of the renter.
RSP does not include the replacement of lost keys including remote entry devices. The replacement cost for a key is 500.00 USD which will be added to the rental agreement.
Roadside assistance is also available without payment of this flat-rate fee. It will then be billed according to the actual costs incurred for each assistance service rendered. Roadside Assistance Protection is an optional product. Before purchasing customers are advised to check if personal coverage is adequate. For roadside assistance call 1-888-501-5291.
Roadside Protection Exclusions/Voids
Roadside Protection does not cover damage caused by the use of the wrong fuel or any failure to take all reasonable measures to look after the vehicle keys or any other device which unlocks the vehicle and/or enables the vehicle to be started.
Roadside Protection will be voided if the damage is caused by: failure to secure the vehicle keys and failure to lock the vehicle, unauthorized repairs on the vehicle, failure to stop using the vehicle once a fault becomes known, use by an unauthorized driver, use by an unlicensed driver, use for hire and reward, use of the vehicle for any illegal purpose or deliberately causing injury or damage to property, racing, pacemaking, or teaching someone to drive, use while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, use of the vehicle outside the U.S. Virgin Islands, overloaded with more passengers than seatbelts, towing, use off-road, transporting dangerous or noxious substances, use of the vehicle in a reckless manner, or use of the vehicle on an aerodrome, airfield, airport or military installation.
Renter Requirements
All drivers must present a full valid driving license. All foreign renters must provide a passport whereas local rentals may present a passport or any other government-issued photo ID in addition to the driving license. A valid credit card in the renter's name must be presented upon collection of the vehicle. If the driving license is written in a language and characters different from those of the country of rental, an International Driving Permit is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licenses from countries who are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation. Customers can drive in the country using their driver's license from their country of origin for up to 60 days. If staying in the country longer, customers are required to obtain an international driving permit.
Arrival Directions
Upon arrival, exit the baggage claim area. There we will have an agent with a shared brand Alamo/Enterprise/National sign waiting for you. They will direct and take you to our Alamo/Enterprise/National shuttle pick-up area. The drive to the location takes approximately 5 minutes.
Third Party Liability
Third-Party Liability (TPL) protection is not insurance. The purchase of TPL is optional and not required to rent a vehicle. If you purchase TPL, the rental company contractually waives your responsibility for the cost of damage to third-party vehicles or injuries to third parties during the rental period, up to the policy limits, unless you invalidate the coverage as provided in the rental agreement. TPL does not provide protection related to damages to the rented vehicle or injuries to the driver of the rented vehicle. TPL is included in the Enterprise Protection Package (EPP).
TPL includes coverage for bodily injury and property damage in an amount equal to the minimum financial responsibility limits applicable to the vehicle and additional coverage, through an excess liability policy, with limits for the difference between the statutory minimum underlying limits and $20,000 per accident. No deductible applies.
Please be aware that most auto insurance policies from outside the U.S. Virgin Islands do not provide coverage in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Employees of the local rental car company are not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the customer’s personal liability insurance coverage, insurance purchased from third-party websites, and credit card coverage. The renter should contact their insurance company prior to arrival with any questions regarding their specific coverage. Further, if the renter declines both TPL and EPP, the renter is financially responsible for the cost of damage to third-party vehicles or injuries to third parties during the rental period.
